
About this role
The Daily Bruin’s Enterprise section is responsible for using investigative journalism to hold people with power to account and shed light on underrepresented voices in the UCLA community. We work with News, Data and other sections to bring awareness to issues that are unknown by – or consciously hidden from – the general public. A Daily Bruin Enterprise Intern will assist in completing the following tasks:
Conduct an investigation with other investigative reporters to gather data on assigned topic.
Become a part of the section community, meeting and collaborating with fellow members of the Daily Bruin.
Write a News story under the joint supervision of the News and Enterprise editors.
Over the course of their internship, a Daily Bruin Enterprise intern will learn the following:
To conduct investigative interviews.
To write in long-form stories.
To develop journalistic skills through writing intensives and other training sessions.
