Illustrations intern

At OutWrite, our Illustrations/Graphics team is made up of illustrators, photographers, videographers, and other artists. Their primary role is creating artwork that accompanies written content for our website, social media, and print editions, but they are also encouraged to pursue independent projects which honor their individual artistic and narrative expression related to the queer community. We welcome all levels of interest and experience and hope OutWrite can inspire you to create work you’ll be proud of.

We strive to have an engaged staff who are open to having conversations that at times can be challenging or confronting. We encourage our team to boost our publication into the future. Through fostering an inclusive space for our contributors and readers, OutWrite encourages its staff to grow both personally and professionally and take part in a wonderful community!

Please note that based on the applied position(s) there are mandatory workshops led by Student Media, our parent organization, that must be completed to be officiated into OutWrite. The tentative weekends of training upon application acceptance are Oct. 17 & 18, Oct. 24 & 25. These workshops will be in-person and attendance cannot be overridden by anyone in the newsmagazine. Updated information on the training dates, times, and locations, will be provided.
