Photojournalist intern

Ha’am is seeking curious photographers and photojournalists interested in visual storytelling and Jewish life, culture, and identity. Photojournalists will photograph events, people, and stories relevant to Ha’am’s coverage, pitch photo essay ideas, write accurate captions, and collaborate with writers and editors to produce images for print and digital publication. Interns will also select and edit photos, meet deadlines, and uphold Ha’am’s standards for accuracy, fairness, and ethical photography. Applicants should demonstrate an eye for composition, attention to detail, reliability, and openness to feedback; familiarity with photography and photo-editing tools is encouraged, but no prior publication experience is required. This role offers hands-on photojournalism experience, editorial collaboration, and opportunities to build a portfolio of published work.
