Nommo was founded in 1969 as the first on-campus student-run ethnic magazine in the United States. Nommo aims to continue the legacy of operating as a Pan-Afrikan student-serving magazine and newspaper through journalistic writing, creative writing, multimedia journalism, video and photojournalism, and community service. We want to recruit motivated, creative, and passionate students to channel their talents through our collective work. The UCLA Radio intern will host their own journalistic or creative radio show on uclaradio.com. Their show should reflect the views and mission of Nommo Newsmagazine, as well as the show host's personality, knowledge, and artistic vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES - - Attend weekly meetings and club events on time - Create original live shows or podcasts for UCLA Radio (weekly) - Host radio interviews and provide live audio coverage of campus events and sports - Support various Nommo staff in the promotion of Nommo's work on UCLA Radio - Contribute at least 4 times per quarter to Nommo Radio - Collaborate with other staff members on projects and events - Plan and execute radio events in collaboration with the Events Staff -Participate in club meetings, events, and projects
