OVERVIEW - The social media staff oversees the production of Nommo News Magazine’s social media content. In the age of social media, there is an increasing need for a carefully cultivated online presence, and the social media staff is responsible for creating it. Social media interns should be in touch with trends, breaking news, and communicating with our audience. Additionally, social media staff should elevate the magazine’s content through concise captions, intriguing tweets, digital flyers.

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES - The staff is responsible for ensuring the social media content of Nommo is high quality and reflects the publication’s values. Social media staff will work closely with each other to present a clean rebranded online presence via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and any other social media platforms they choose to branch into. They are responsible for posting timely as its produced by the writing, digital broadcasting, and photography staffs. All posts should be grammatically correct and aesthetically pleasing. They are responsible for creating infographics, online flyers, and supporting other student media and Harambee council organizations via social media interactions.

The social media staff is expected to attend any all-staff meetings (twice a quarter) and social media staff meetings as directed by their editor. Nommo is a collaborative effort and all staffers should be effective communicators.
