• NOMMO LAYOUT INTERN -

Nommo was founded in 1969 as the first on-campus student-run ethnic magazine in the United States. Nommo aims to continue the legacy of operating as a Pan-Afrikan student-serving magazine and newspaper through journalistic writing, creative writing, multimedia journalism, video and photojournalism, and community service. We want to recruit motivated, creative, and passionate students to channel their talents through our collective work. The layout team works on web and print design to improve Nommo's production quality, print design and structure, web interface and accessibility, and layout of additional Nommo content including flyers, new letters, and social media posts.

RESPONSIBILITIES - - Attend weekly meetings and club events on time - Create an original layout in print magazine publications - Support various Nommo staff in the layout of artwork or digital design to accompany written works, flyers, or social media posts - Contribute at least 4 times per quarter to the Nommo website and/or print works - Collaborate with other staff members on writing, design, photography, or web projects - Participate in club meetings, events, and projects - Work alongside Web Manager to implement page layout and design into web interface
