In this position, you will mostly do literary and multimedia translations. The Spanish translator/writer will be responsible for translating and proofing articles created in English and Spanish. You will also coordinate with the social media team to translate posts across all our platforms to create a more inclusive online presence. A qualified applicant is a fluent speaker of both languages and is familiar with expressions and colloquialisms in both languages. Your job will be to make sure written content is understandable and relevant to our audience.
To successfully complete the internship by the end of fall quarter, you must have completed the following tasks to your editor's satisfaction: 1. Written/translated 3 articles (2 must be original pitches) 2. Pitched at least 2 original articles 3. Assisted with the promotion of the Fall print issue 4. Completed 3 weekly office hours (weekly meeting attendance does not count towards office hour completion)
