As a social media intern, you will work with the social media director on multimedia campaigns to increase community engagement on all our platforms- Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You will plan, create, and implement campaigns that reflect La Gente’s core values. This position will give you the flexibility to create multimedia content that is timely, engaging, and informative. This position requires that you are aware of and up-to-date on social media trends that matter and connect to our audience.
To successfully complete the internship by the end of fall quarter, you must have completed the following tasks to your editor's satisfaction: 1. Create original content across all our platforms 2. Coordinate your own social media campaign 3. Promote the Fall print issue in an engaging and fun way 4. Complete 3 weekly office hours (weekly meeting attendance does not count towards office hour completion)
*You must attend the following mandatory training sessions: - Training will begin the weekend of October 12-13 and run for two additional weekends (Oct. 19-20, 26-27) -One Media Law training TBA Please keep these dates in mind when applying because failure to attend training will result in dismissal from the internship program. *
