As a social media intern, you will work with the social media coordinators on multimedia campaigns to increase community engagement on all our platforms- Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This position will give you the flexibility to create multimedia content that is timely, engaging, and informative. You will plan, create, and implement campaigns that reflect La Gente’s core values of inclusivity, advocacy, and integrity.

To successfully complete the internship by the end of fall quarter, you must have completed the following tasks to your editor's satisfaction: 1. Initiated own social media campaign under the guidance of social media coordinators 2. Promoted the quarterly print issue in an innovative and engaging way with the UCLA community 3. Completed 2 weekly office hours 4. Attended weekly meetings (tbd)

In addition to trainings for specific positions, all Student Media interns/staff are required to attend a mandatory Journalism 101 & Media Law which take place on the same day.
