As a radio intern, you will work with radio coordinators to kindle dialogue about the Latinx agenda and community with music, humor, and your personality. This position will allow you to disseminate information and perspectives in real time while creating an engaging, welcoming environment for listeners. You will plan, create, and curate a playlist and topics of discussion that communicates La Gente’s core values of inclusivity, advocacy, and integrity.

To successfully complete the internship by the end of fall quarter, you must have completed the following tasks to your editor’s satisfaction: Attend the weekly radio shows Design one show composed of a playlist and topic of discussion (with guidance from radio coordinators) Promote the La Gente radio show accordingly Complete 2 weekly office hours Attend weekly La Gente meetings (TBD)

In addition to trainings for specific positions, all Student Media interns/staff are required to attend a mandatory Journalism 101 & Media Law which take place on the same day.
