As a marketing intern, you will work with the Head of Marketing on multimedia campaigns to increase community engagement on all our platforms- TikTok, X, and Instagram. This position will give you the flexibility to create multimedia content that is timely, engaging, and informative. You will plan, create, and implement campaigns that reflect La Gente’s core values of inclusivity, advocacy, and integrity.

To successfully complete the internship by the end of the quarter, you must have completed the following tasks to your editor's satisfaction: 1. Initiated own social media campaign independent of posts related to web pieces 2. Promoted the quarterly print issue in an innovative and engaging way 3. Attended 7/10 weekly meetings (TBD)

In addition to position-specific trainings, all Student Media interns must attend mandatory Journalism 101 & Media Law presentations, which take place on the same day. All applicants must attend all trainings over the course of three weekends, beginning the weekend of week 2. Interviews with the editors will be scheduled during week 2, Jan. 13-16.
