Knowledge of InDesign is not required but highly encouraged La Gente is seeking layout design interns to assist the layout design editor to design our quarterly print issue. You will facilitate the overall design process and work closely with the editor-in-chief and design editor to ensure a cohesive aesthetic/thematic appearance. The design intern will be tasked with the digital layout of our work for print, web, and other layout and design assignments as needed.

To successfully complete the internship by the end of the quarter, you must have completed the following tasks to your editor's satisfaction: 1. Assisted with the creation of the layout for the Fall print issue as delegated by the layout design editor 2. Assisted with the promotion of the quarterly print issue 3. Attended weekly meetings (Date TBD)

In addition to trainings for specific positions, all Student Media interns/staff are required to attend a mandatory Journalism 101 & Media Law which take place on the same day. Trainings will be held on Sundays in late October. They are mandatory with no exceptions.
