    Oct. 7, 2019, noon

The Daily Bruin Social Media department serves as a link between the Daily Bruin's audience and newsroom. In the age of digital journalism, social media is integral to disseminating news and maintaining readership.

Social Media producers will work across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Reddit to help our audience discover and engage with our content. Producers work closely with all of the Bruin's editorial departments to best market each section's content online and set a coverage agenda that aims to communicate news and inform the UCLA community.

Our main social media platforms are listed here:

Through training, producers will understand the mechanics behind journalistic writing style and gain valuable multimedia production skills. Prior journalism experience is welcome, but not required. We welcome applicants at all levels.

Applications are due October 7th, 12:00pm PST. Please contact Christine Anne David, the Social Media director at [email protected] with any questions.

NOTE: If hired, you are required to attend training in the weekends after weeks 2, 3 and 4 as well as a weeknight media law training (dates TBD). Failure to attend these sessions is subject to dismissal.

Good luck, and have fun with it!
