The Photo section highlights events, organizations and people who are part of the UCLA community through visual journalism. It works with nearly all sections at the Bruin to provide the UCLA community with proper representation through visual media.
It has multiple beats — News, Sports and Arts — specializing in unique respective coverage. Under the News beat, photographers will cover events impacting the UCLA and Westwood community from student features to campus-wide protests. The Sports beat involves coverage of sports events hosted by UCLA athletics. The Arts beat highlights student artists and concert photography on and off campus.
Photo has won awards from the Associated Collegiate Press and has been recognized by numerous press organizations for its photojournalism.
