The Illustration section takes requests from writer to communicate with them to develop a depict the writer's story in a visual medium. Our requests includes regular requests, cover of prints, headers, and animations. Illustrating for the Daily Bruin will teach you how to think creatively and add your own touch on a project that began with someone else's idea while still remaining true to the original intent. It will practice your ability to collaborate, communicate, and balance an extracurricular project with the rest of your college life. That said, illustrator interns will take up illustration requests, approximately 1 every 2 weeks. Interns will also attend Illustration section meetings and section events. This application is for the Illustrations department only, but you will have the opportunity to cross train to other sections later. Below you will find a couple short answer questions - please fill them out to the best of your ability, and include as much detail as possible. Once accepted, interns will attend mandatory Student Media Training weekends which are tentatively Oct. 19 & 20, Oct. 26 & 27, and Nov. 2 & 3. Decisions will be out by Friday October 11th, 2024 noon.
