As a graphic journalist for the Daily Bruin, you will be able to create works that are not only visually appealing, but convey stories that are relevant to our campus and more. You will be able to work alongside all the departments in the newsroom to create visual media to convey important data. Graphic artists will also have the chance to pitch their own ideas for graphic journalism.
The Daily Bruin Graphics department uses Adobe Illustrator to create graphics but it is not necessary that you know how to use the program, as there will be trainings. Previous graphic design experience is a plus but not required. Applications are due by Wednesday, October 14, at noon. Please contact Ben Brill ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns.
Graphic interns are required to complete at least four graphics a quarter. Graphic interns are expected to be available for at least two 30-minute meetings per week.
