The print layout designer will be tasked with the digital layout of our work for print, web, and other layout and design assignments as needed. You should be skillful and artful at InDesign and layout, be able to see the words and images in columns, and have some knowledge of and be ready to learn printer/production marks and conventions, transfer, and settings.
Tasks throughout the quarter include:
-3 hours dedicated to social media, flyering, outreach, fundraising, etc. (your choice).
- 2 hour participation hours (General Meetings and Office hours both contribute to these)
General Meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays at 7pm.
In order to prepare you we have a couple mandatory trainings, if there are issues with these dates inform us ASAP:
-Two Student Media training sessions (be prepared to dedicate two Saturdays or Sundays);
-Trainings are on January 26 & February 2nd or January 27 & February 3rd. The specific dates for Design training is TBA.
-One Media Law training TBA, although it is usually held a Thursday after either week of the trainings.

Upload examples of your Layout Design/Editing in yearbooks, newspapers, magazines, or online (including social media management).
