This application is to apply to the Daily Bruin photography team.
The photography department at the Daily Bruin works with content sections in the paper to cover events around campus and Los Angeles. We cover sports games, to concerts, to protests and more. Contributors develop their skills as photographers through workshops and evaluations conducted with the editors while advancing their experience in photojournalism. Photographers are expected to contribute on a weekly basis as well as come in for one-on-one meetings with editors and section meetings. Experience is not required to join. New and experienced photographers are all encouraged to apply.
You can see examples of work the department has done at http://dailybruin.com or on the Daily Bruin's photojournalism blog Spectrum at http://dailybruin.com/category/spectrum/
