Graphic reporters create graphics for different sections at the Daily Bruin. These graphics run in print and online editions. Although graphics range from simple charts to full-page standalones, all graphics provide a visually compelling layer to the paper. As a graphics intern, you will learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator, collaborate with different departments, and produce art from data. We welcome any and all applicants from all majors and levels of experience.

Why do you want to join the Daily Bruin Graphics Department? What can you contribute to our team?
Do you have past experience in graphics or design? If so, please provide a description of it. If not please list any other experience you feel is relevant.
Please select which design software you are familiar with.

Provide links to a 3 graphics you like and evaluate them for their effectiveness. You are encouraged to use Daily Bruin graphics.
You may attach a resume, portfolio, or writing sample. You may choose any combination of the three as long as it is in one file. (OPTIONAL)
With daily production, graphic reporters tend to have two days to complete regular requests with edits being made close to deadlines. However, larger graphics, such as standalones for major DB issues, require more time and depth. Describe what kind of graphics you prefer and why.
