All BruinLife staff members are required to do a minimum 3 office hours (you choose the hours) per week in the office. The purpose of these office hours are to do BruinLife related work, study, nap, get away from the heat/cold, interact with other members of staff, etc.
All Staff Meetings are held 3-4 times per quarter from 6-7PM on Mondays.
Staff Specific Meetings are held by your editor every week
Regardless of whichever staff you belong to, everyone is required to write a minimum of 1 article for the yearbook that is no longer than 550 words.
The BruinLife retreat is on October 19 (evening) – October 21 (early morning) and is MANDATORY for all staff. We strongly believe in the importance of getting to know your fellow staff members as the retreat establishes the mood for the entire year and we therefore make NO EXCEPTIONS for not attending retreat.
BruinLife hosts various social events thorough out the year to get you acquainted with the entire staff and to celebrate the completion of deadlines.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
-Design weekly ads to run in the Daily Bruin newspaper advertising any of our products
-Table weekly to promote our brand/products
-Flyer weekly promote our brand/products
-Mascot Runs: BruinLife has a squirrel mascot who goes around campus weekly to promote BruinLife
-Row Walks to promote our various promotions/products
-Help develop and execute creative marketing strategies for a variety of our products
-Post online from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more to personal channels
-Attend weekly marketing meetings
-Attend monthly All Staff meetings
-Deal with customers regarding purchases of various of our products
Applicants do not need prior marketing experience to apply for this job. There will be staff workshops, and office hours available for guidance. However, due to the nature of the position, candidates with basic knowledge of social media, marketing skills will be preferred.
Please note that mandatory marketing training for new staff marketeers will occur on the weekend of October 20-21 (only 1 day) and October 27-28 (only 1 day). Location and times TBA.
