Become a part of Pacific Ties, the student-run APIDA (Asian American Pacific Islander Desi American) newsmagazine at UCLA! This internship will not only allow you to gain experience working in news media and hone your writing and leadership skills, but also to meet people in the APIDA community on campus, explore your interests, and become involved in student activism.
As a staff writer, you will be responsible for attending weekly staff meetings, pitching ideas, and covering a range of events and topics relevant to the APIDA community at UCLA, in Los Angeles, or in the nation. There will also be mandatory writing training sessions and a media law training for new staff writers in the first few weeks of the winter quarter, dates and times TBA.
