Become a part of Pacific Ties, the student-run APIDA (Asian American Pacific Islander Desi American) newsmagazine at UCLA! This internship will not only allow you to gain experience working in news media and hone your writing and leadership skills, but also to meet people in the APIDA community on campus, explore your interests, and become involved in student activism.
As a copy editor, you will be responsible for attending weekly staff meetings and working closely with writers to fact-check and correct grammar, spelling, and style errors before articles are published. There will also be mandatory copy editing training sessions and a media law training for new copy editors in the first few weeks of the winter quarter, dates and times TBA.
